As our productions grew, so did our casts. When we began expanding into multiple youth ensembles, we needed a way to distinguish them. The Wizard of Oz has always been a beloved classic in the theater world, and its iconic phrase — “Lions and Tigers and Bears” — felt instantly recognizable and full of spirit. Our Lions, Tigers, and Bears casts were born.
“Hear Us Roar” represents the confidence our students build on stage and the collective voice of young artists rising together in the Ojai Valley.

ROAR & POUR, part of an ongoing series of quarterly gatherings held 4:00–7:00 PM at Topa Topa Brewery in downtown Ojai.
The community is invited to join us for ROAR & POUR, an evening to gather, connect, and see firsthand what OYES has been building — and what lies ahead.
As OYES continues its work on OUSD property following last summer’s transition, ROAR & POUR offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on what has been achieved during this chapter, including the success of Peter Pan, and to celebrate the students and families who made it possible.
The evening also creates space to share how community support has translated into real impact, while looking forward to upcoming programs such as Alice by Heart, The Lightning Thief, and Youth Radio Plays.
More than an update or an event, ROAR & POUR invites new and longtime supporters alike to reconnect, celebrate progress, as part of an ongoing, recognizable gathering that strengthens connection, continuity, and collective investment in youth theater.
