Teaching Philosophy 

“The beauty of theater to me is that no matter what age, background, or passions we have, we always have something simple or profound to learn from each other; something valuable to give.  I believe that the vocabulary and tools we build together may last a long time indeed, but the imagination, compassion and confidence we develop will last a life-time.”

BIO

Casey is an Ojai based performer, director, music director, composer and teacher.  A graduate of San Francisco State University’s Drama Program, Mr. Robbins has worked extensively in the arts of acting, directing, movement, musical composition, improv and playwriting. 

Most recently Mr. Robbins had the joy of working as a theatre educator with many Bay Area companies including Pied Piper Players (Education Director), Kehillah Jewish High School (Theatre Director and Cinema Instructor), Bay Area Children’s Theater (performer/teaching artist/patron services), and The Spindrift School of Performing Arts (teaching artist).

His work as an actor has been seen all over the Bay Area; and as a director, working with youth and adults, Mr. Robbins has lead productions of Legally Blonde, Seussical: The Musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Gravedigger: The Musical, The African Spaghetti, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mustard, Fuddy Meers and The Taming of the Shrew. 

Mr. Robbins has also served as performer and musical director for the popular theater company Idiot String’s touring summer productions: O Best Beloved (winner of Best of SF Fringe), Aesop Amuck!, Shakespeare Versus Space Wars, Shiver Me Timbers, and A Lord of A Ring.  

Mr. Robbins has recently moved back to the Ojai Valley where he was born and raised and cannot wait to share his passions with this new community!
