Emily Hall, Vocal Director/Educator

Emily Hall began working with OYES in early 2019 with Peter Pan, and is deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with a collection of skilled, dedicated and wonderfully creative young performers.

They grew up in Ojai as the child of two classically-trained actors and writers, and began performing in school bands and choirs at an early age, working their way up to singing in the All-National Honor Choir.

They studied Vocal Performance from the University of Redlands, and during their time there, they participated in Young Arts Los Angeles and trained in opera and lieder at IES Vienna.

Currently, they are a sought-after vocal coach and music director across Ventura County, working with adult and youth programs alike, as well as conducting Ojai's own Madrigali renaissance choir.

They're also an active performer in their own right - you may have seen them in the Ojai Art Center's recent production of "The Music Man" and the West Coast premiere of "Things I Know To Be True" at the Santa Paula Theatre Center. They're extra thrilled to be back at OYES for Aristocats, which merges two of their great loves: jazz music and cats.
